Solar Energy Foundation
supports enterprises in developing
countries in the manufacturing and marketing of solar heating equipment;
transfers know-how between established
solar heating companies and companies in developing countries;
endorses Swedish companies that partake
in the enhancement of solar energy uses;
informs about sustainable and renewable
energy sources.
Solar Energy Foundation acts in the spirit
of aid to helping oneself, i.e. transfer of knowledge and technology adapted to local
circumstances. Our aim is to attain as much use of renewable energy sources as possible.
This can be done by development of solar energy technology, economic exploitation of solar
energy and by multicultural cooperation.
Aim
Solar Energy Foundation wants to enhance
knowledge of solar energy and, thereby, increase the use of it, and also contribute to
continued technical development. The ambition of the foundation is further to contribute,
by means of know-how transfer, to work opportunities and to stimulate crosscultural
contacts.
Goal
In general, to spread the use of
environment friendly and renewable energy sources as widely as possible, and in particular
to enhance the development of solar energy;
To make the use of the sun as raw
material economically sound and feasible;
To contribute to and partake in
cooperation between nations and cultures.
How we work
By raising subscriptions and by means of
project subsidy, the Solar Energy Foundation is to:
Make unbiassed investigations of local
needs and possibilities to cooperate in developing countries.
In developing countries, assist local
enterprises and their employees, give information about suitable education, and also to
contribute financially and in practice to education and training.
Contribute to the exchange of knowledge
and licencing by cooperation between established solar energy companies and companies in
developing countries.
Give support, technologically and
financially, to small enterprises in developing countries by means of contributions and
loans. The financing of licence fees for companies that have acquired knowledge and
technology is to be eased in the initial phase.
Encourage partaking companies to give
information about needs and specifics to the "bank of knowledge" created by the
foundation.
Document and report project progress.
